Well, Here I am! Finally back in Jefferys Bay. It feels so great to be back. I left on Sunday, 13 January and arrived on 15 January! Two whole days of travelling was pretty rough. I was really lucky to be able to travel with my teammate Jaymee. We flew from Denver to Chicago to London Heathrow to Johannesburg to Port Elizabeth. We had a six hour layover in London which was spent reading and hanging out with two of our friends from the Swaziland FYM team who were also on their way to Johannesburg. It wasn't too bad traveling for that long. Then we finally arrived in Port Elizabeth (or P.E. as we call it).
It was so sunny and warm and windy. It is crazy going from winter to summer in two days. I love it here! The weather is so nice. And the sun sets so late. It is so awesome to finally be back with my teammates. I missed them all so much.
Yesterday, we spent the morning cleaning our house and getting it ready for us to live in it again. Then in the afternoon we went to the beach and played some games. We had so much fun just being back at the beach. I almost forgot how beautiful it was. I was blown away by its beauty all over again.
What I Learned:
Over Chrismas break, I was so excited to experience my life back home and learn to apply everything I learned while i was here. It was a bit harder than I expected. I realized how comfortable i am in my life at home. I was always so interested in everything else other than spending time with my Savior. But I realized how faithful He is to me. I actually heard God calling my name every day. I felt him pursuing me everyday. But I rarely did anything about it. But I noticed that whenever I responded to God's voice and his calling my name, He revealed something amazing to me. He showed me amazing things about himself. He is so faithful to me. Even when I wander, he follows. Even when I pay no attention, He still calls me His beloved and the apple of his eye. I really cannot ever comprehend his love for me.
I pray that you may hear the calling of God on your lives. I pray that you may sense His pursuit of you.
