Hello to all! I have news. Actually i have big news. If you are reading my blog it is probably because i told you that i am going to New Zealand and then told you to check out my blog. Well, about that... Here's the deal: The director of the New Zealand location will not be directing next year. He has a wife and kids and needs to take some time off to be with them. He also needs time to re-fill spiritually.

So how does this affect me? Well, the New Zealand trip for 2007-2008 has been cancelled. Here is the new plan: Our team talked about it over the weekend with Dave and Vicki Gross (directors over all of the FYMs) and we made the decision to go to Jeffreys Bay, South Africa instead. After much consideration and prayer we decided that this is where God is leading us!

The logistics and dates of the trip are still the same. We will leave in mid September and stay for two semesters. Any money that has already been sent in to AIM will simply transfer over to the South Africa trip. The cost for this trip is a little bit cheaper. It is going to cost about $6,750 and airfare is about the same. Jeffreys bay is a place that desperately needs Jesus and we are so excited to go and share Jesus' love with them.

I am really excited about this and I know this is where God wants us to go! Please pray for our team as we get to know others in the Jeffreys Bay team. Also, please pray for the support that I still need to raise for the tip. It is not cheap and i am trusting God to provide as he always does. Please pray for the hearts of the people we will be coming into contact with. Pray that we can be great witnesses for our Lord. Thank you so much for your prayers and support.

In Him,

Rachel
